Sela' Castle
Sila Castle, located approximately 13 kilometers south of Tafilah, is an exceptional Arabic archaeological site perched on a dramatic rocky outcrop. This ancient Nabataean fortress, dating back to around 1200 BC, showcases a rich array of palaces, caves, and artistic sculptures, alongside advanced irrigation systems and towering watchtowers. Rising nearly 400 meters above sea level, the castle spans over 100 dunams and is accessed via a singular, winding staircase. Its strategic location and striking natural beauty make it a significant historical and cultural landmark.
