North Gate

The North Gate of Jerash, also known as the Hadrian's Arch, is an iconic entryway that dates back to the Roman period around the 2nd century AD. This grand gate marked the northern boundary of the ancient city of Gerasa and served as a ceremonial entrance for visitors and dignitaries arriving from the north. Built with classical Roman architectural style, it features Corinthian columns and intricate stone carvings. The gate has been partially restored, allowing visitors to experience the grandeur of Roman craftsmanship and architecture.
