Dibbeen Forest Reserve

Dibbeen Forest Reserve is one of Jordan's most ecologically significant forest areas, located in Jerash and covering around 8.5 square kilometers. Known for its rich biodiversity, the reserve is celebrated for its dense Aleppo pine and oak trees, some of the oldest and largest in the region. Its unique ecosystem also includes orchids and various plant species, supporting a range of wildlife, including the rare and elusive Persian squirrel, which thrives here due to the forest’s ample food sources and protected habitat. The reserve offers scenic trails that weave through wooded hills, providing hikers and nature enthusiasts with immersive views of Jordan’s natural beauty.
