Arab Valley Dam Park

Wadi Al Arab Dam is one of the dams designed to store irrigation water in the northwestern part of Irbid Governorate, northern Jordan. The rock-fill dam was built on a small semi-permanent watercourse called Wadi Al Arab, and its storage capacity is about 20 million cubic meters. It is mainly used to irrigate agricultural lands in Irbid. The dam is surrounded by picturesque nature, making it a favorite destination for residents of the northern regions, especially during winter and spring, when green grasses grow and the weather becomes moderate. However, swimming or fishing inside the dam’s waters is risky, as drowning cases have been recorded in recent years.
