Mausoleum of Hazrat Ja'far Bin Abi Talib Radiyallahu Anhu

The mausoleum of Hazrat Ja'far ibn Abi Talib Radiyallahu Anhu, known as "At-Tayyar" (the one who flies), is located in the town of Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi in Karak Governorate, southern Jordan. He was given this title because Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that Ja'far was granted wings to soar in Paradise after his martyrdom in the Battle of Mu'tah in 629 AD. Ja'far ibn Abi Talib was the cousin of the Prophet ﷺ and among the earliest converts to Islam. He was known for his unwavering faith, remarkable courage, and his significant role in the migration to Abyssinia, where he eloquently defended Islam before the Negus. His grave is part of the "Shrines of the Companions," which also includes the tombs of Zayd ibn Harithah and Abdullah ibn Rawahah, the other commanders who were martyred in the same battle. The mausoleum is a site of religious and historical significance, attracting visitors from around the world who come to honor his legacy and reflect on the values of sacrifice, perseverance, and steadfastness.
