Karak Folk Life Museum

The Karak Folk Life Museum is located in the Jordanian city of Karak, near the historic Karak Castle, in a heritage building dating back to the 19th century. Established in 2016 through an initiative by the Greater Karak Municipality, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and Mutah University, the museum aims to preserve the region’s cultural and historical heritage. It houses hundreds of traditional artifacts donated by local residents, including agricultural tools, traditional clothing, household items, and handicrafts that reflect the daily lives of ancestors over a century ago. The museum serves as an active cultural center, hosting events and initiatives designed to revive folk traditions and enhance cultural awareness among visitors from Jordan and beyond.
