Al-Yarmouk Battle Location

The Battle of Al-Yarmouk, fought in August 636, was a pivotal clash between the Byzantine Empire and the Rashidun Caliphate. This series of six-day engagements took place near the Yarmouk River, along the modern borders of Syria, Jordan, and Israel, southeast of the Sea of Galilee. The battle resulted in a decisive victory for the Muslim forces, ending Byzantine rule in Syria after seven centuries.
