Yarmouk Nature Reserve

Yarmouk Forest Reserve is located in the northwestern part of Jordan, near the border with the Golan Heights. Covering an area of approximately 20 square kilometers, the reserve features two main topographic zones: mountains and valleys. The mountainous region, which reaches up to 500 meters above sea level, is covered with deciduous oak forests. The valleys, with small to medium descents, extend toward the Yarmouk River, with most having seasonal water flow, except for Shag Al Bared Valley, which has water throughout the year.
