Marine Science Station - aqaba (MSS)
Established in the mid-1970s as a joint research institute between the University of Jordan and Yarmouk University, the Marine Science Station aims to provide a facility for marine research. It offers scientists and graduate students access to various laboratories and resources for their research. The station conducts diverse research projects and monitoring programs to assess the environmental characteristics of the Jordanian coast in the Gulf of Aqaba. Its laboratories are accredited with ISO 17025, meeting global quality standards, and it collaborates with several international research centers, including Leibniz Center for Tropical Marine Research in Bremen, USA's Mote Marine Laboratory, and the Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt.
