Mosque of the University of Jordan

The Mosque of the University of Jordan (Masjid al-Jami'a al-Urduniyya) is a prominent religious and cultural landmark located within the university's main campus in the Jubaiha district of Amman. Inaugurated on June 10, 1980, in the presence of King Hussein and Prince Hassan, the mosque serves as a central hub for worship, education, and community engagement. It hosts the five daily prayers and the Jumu'ah (Friday) prayer, and it also accommodates seminars, lectures, and courses in Islamic sciences and Arabic studies, often in collaboration with the Islamic Cultural Center and the School of Sharia . Strategically situated in one of Amman's busiest areas, the mosque is especially vibrant during prayer times, Fridays, and the holy month of Ramadan . Its architectural design and spiritual significance make it a vital component of both the university and the broader community.
