Rujm Al-Kursi

Rujm Al-Kursi is an ancient archaeological site located in the Wadi Al-Seer area of Amman, Jordan. This site features remains of a large circular tower, believed to date back to the Iron Age (around 1200–539 BCE). Its unique name, which translates to "The Chair Mound," likely originates from its structure and elevated position. Rujm Al-Kursi is thought to have served as a watchtower or a defensive outpost, providing strategic views over the surrounding landscape. Archaeological evidence at the site also points to its role in trade or local governance during its time of use.
