The shrine of Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah

The Shrine and Tomb of the Companion Abu Ubaidah Amr ibn al-Jarrah is located in the town of Deir Alla in the Central Jordan Valley, northwest of Jordan. The site features a modern mosque built on the location of a dome constructed by the Mamluk Sultan Al-Zahir Baybars. This is confirmed by the historic marble plaque found at the entrance to the shrine. Inside the mosque, there is a tomb attributed to the companion Abu Ubaidah Amr ibn al-Jarrah, a prominent figure in the early Islamic military campaigns. The site is a significant religious and historical landmark, attracting both pilgrims and tourists.
