The Royal Botanic Garden

The Royal Botanic Garden is a pioneering national project established in 2005 through the initiative of HRH Princess Basma Bint Ali, who dedicated her efforts to turning the vision of conserving Jordan’s biodiversity into a reality, in collaboration with the Ministries of Agriculture and Environment, as well as local and international environmental organizations. The Garden aims to promote harmony between people and nature through scientific research and community engagement, and was officially declared a Specially Protected Area by the Ministry of Environment on June 19, 2014, underscoring its environmental and national significance.
