Qasr Tuba

Qasr Tuba is a remote Umayyad desert castle located in the Jordanian desert, southeast of Amman. Built in the 8th century, this historical site is renowned for its unique architectural style, featuring two large courtyards enclosed by arcades and decorated with Islamic art. Its design reflects the Umayyad rulers' aim to establish an architectural presence in the desert, serving both as a symbol of power and a potential resting point along trade routes. Though it’s less frequented due to its isolated location, Qasr Tuba remains an important archaeological and cultural landmark in Jordan.
