National Heritage Museum
The National Heritage Museum at the University of Jordan, established in 1981 and inaugurated in 1986, showcases Jordan's cultural and social history, reflecting life in villages and the Badia during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The museum houses diverse artifacts such as agricultural tools, clothing, jewelry, and traditional medicine, collected by students and through acquisitions. Renovated in 2008 and further upgraded in 2024 with support from USAID, ACOR, and SCHEB, the museum modernized its display techniques and infrastructure to preserve Jordan’s heritage and foster cultural appreciation. It stands as an educational hub, emphasizing the role of heritage in social and economic development.
