Bast Space 😸 Bast Space is a new cat café in Weibdeh, founded by Jad as a social enterprise to rescue cats from the streets rather than just another shelter. The café’s discreet location, without a visible sign, is intentionally designed to protect the cats from too much attention. You can find Bast Space on Google Maps or call us directly for directions. 🗺️ Jad opened #BastSpace to serve as an informative hub for discussions on the history of cat domestication and the importance of cat adoption. As a veterinarian, Jad provides neutering, vaccinations, and medication for cats in need. 🐱💉 Cat cafés are becoming popular around the world, offering a safe space for homeless cats to interact with potential adopters. Currently, Bast Space houses 10 adoptable cats, with a goal to rescue 20 at a time. 🌟 In many Middle Eastern cities, including Amman, cats are an integral part of urban life. While cities like #Istanbul have robust support for street cats, #Amman has less public tolerance and fewer government initiatives. Jad hopes Bast Space can help shift this perspective. 🌍 Even if you can't adopt a cat, visiting Bast Space is a wonderful way to engage with Amman's culture, enjoy a favorite drink, and show love to our furry friends. 🐾☕
