Archaeological Museum

The Archaeological Museum at the University of Jordan, established in 1962 alongside the university's founding, began with a modest collection of artifacts. Recognizing its importance, the museum was developed to reflect the university's esteemed academic status. It serves as an educational museum, showcasing archaeological and cultural relics from the Paleolithic period to the end of the Islamic era, arranged chronologically. Relocated in 1986 to a central, green space on campus, the museum expanded to include an open-air section that displays additional artifacts. This setup engages students and fosters appreciation for Jordan's rich cultural and historical heritage.
